The term phylogenetic is used throughout this
work to cover all forms of
`scientific' taxonomic, systematical and nomenclatural practices.
The term is imperfect, but I find the possible alternatives - `Linnaean',
`Western', `scientific', and so on which I am occasionally tempted to resort to -
equally if not more problematic.
