ABOUT THE AUTHOR

H. B. Paksoy has earned his doctorate at Oxford University (England), after studying in universities of the Turkish Republic and taking degrees in the U.S. Dr. Paksoy's papers on Central Asian topics have appeared in scholarly journals and collections, including those published in the United States, United Kingdom, Turkish Republic, West Germany, Soviet Union. He has been acting as a consultant to international organizations based in the U.S. and Europe. Dr. Paksoy is presently a Faculty Associate of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies-Harvard University, and concurrently member of the Department of History, Central Connecticut State University. Among his forthcoming books is Central Asian Monuments.
